I'm usually more than willing to complain about minor moves I disagree with but I can't get on board with worrying about McLouth. Just don't think he is going to be any improvement. People are grasping at straws—not that I blame them after last night's debacle.

Agreed, and if he's not better than Chavez, give the job back to Avery.

He hasnt been a MLB player for more than a few years. He's hitting .240ish at AAA ...I say let him walk.

Look again at his numbers, his OPS was over .950 in the month of July. He is clearly an upgrade to Chavez.

Having now seen him a few times, I'll admit that he does have a quick bat and looks to have some tools. I have no issue at all with being wrong, and I certainly hope it's the case.

This was a smart acquisition, even if it doesn't pan out.

I am already liking McLouth better than Lew Ford. Ford was simply overmatched. McLouth has looked pretty good at the plate. Not sure about his defense though, haven't seen much of him out there ??

I've liked what I've seen of McLouth. Pretty good approach at the plate, solid on defense. SSS, of course, just giving impressions.
