I'm usually more than willing to complain about minor moves I disagree with but I can't get on board with worrying about McLouth. Just don't think he is going to be any improvement. People are grasping at straws—not that I blame them after last night's debacle.

McLouth is worth a look for a few weeks. He can't be any worse with runners in scoring position than any of our other hitters......can he? He's got to be better than Chavez.

Agreed, and if he's not better than Chavez, give the job back to Avery.

He hasnt been a MLB player for more than a few years. He's hitting .240ish at AAA ...I say let him walk.

Having now seen him a few times, I'll admit that he does have a quick bat and looks to have some tools. I have no issue at all with being wrong, and I certainly hope it's the case.

This was a smart acquisition, even if it doesn't pan out.
