If we go into our offseason assuming this, we'll be doomed for 2013. The pythag isn't meaningless.

But neither is our record - the fact that the team has found a way to win so many games despite all the flaws shouldn't be dismissed out of hand.

Both our record and our pythag have meaning and should be evaluated according.

I don't understand why anyone would think we wouldn't adddress our holes in the fall, because we are eceeding the Pythag. DD isn't dumb. Really he isn't. The question is how much lee way will he have to spend and trade.

Whatever "talent" we bring in in the offseason will bring marginal improvement at best. The biggest improvements will have to come in house, nobody good is coming here from outside. Unless we get another Chen type from abroad.

a) The situation could certainly be different given the boost in revenues and wins. Even Angelos can be convinced that he can make more money with winning than revenue sharing.

b) Why would you assume that Duquette is going to stop mining the glove for more Chens?
