Yeah, I just got a text about it.

Should make for an interesting afternoon.

Does this complicate dealing Roberts? I have a feeling the cubs will say "oh sorry we can only give you one prospect, or a few mid level prospects, because he used steroids." BTW tejada will be in the report as well. However, this did not hurt us in trading Tedjada...

-Grant[/quote']No, shouldn't change his value at all. Most GMs aren't paying any attention to this report, at least when it comes to acquiring players who are on it (or very heavily rumored to be before today).

Wade didn't care. Hendry might not either but now that Roberts has been named, it's kinda hard to justify trading anything great for him. We weren't going to get Pie before and this assures we definitely won't get him now...

I think we keep Roberts because of this and we might trade him at the deadline...

Well I won't say I'm shocked, but I have lost a little respect for Roberts. How does he explain this to all those kids he goes and visits that look up to him? "I" am not saying that athletes should be role models, but I think Roberts considers himself to be one, so what does he now say to the kids?

More importantly, does this change the way Cindy and Blueberry feel about him? ;)

I doubt it'll make a difference. And hell, even if the Cubs play hardball with us over this, we'll simply keep Roberts. No harm done.

Are there any other teams out there in need of an upgrade at 2B?

I want to see what "proof" they have. Call me stubborn or naive, but if its another player or some Mets bat boy pointing the finger at him, I'm not buying it. A positive test or a paper trail that ties him to buying the stuff are the only things that will really convince me.

Yes, let's keep a player tied to steroid/PED use. If it is for ANYTHING other than medical use, I will promptly boo him as loud as possible and any other players that come to Baltimore. Cheating has NO place in professional sports, regardless of however many have done it. Just because "everyone" did it, does not make it right.

Yet, we can't wait to see who the Yanks or Sox have and don't really care about what kind of info they have on their players ;)
