Red Sox Lose Middlebrooks

I read the story about Middlebrooks on ESPN Mobile and Valentine was quoted after the game saying "Bad spot." "He got hit pretty good in a bad place......he's in a lot of pain. I was hoping it was down on the meat. It was straight on the bone." This is a big loss for the Red Sox. Nick Punto replaced him in the 9th inning. They also have Danny Valencia they acquired from the Twins on August 5. He's hitting .198 with 2 HR'S and 17 RBI'S.

I never like to see a talented young player go down with an injury. Hopefully he'll be healthy and ready to go next season. Until then, I'll enjoy if the Orioles take advantage of the Sox.
