Dan Duquette on O's pitching philosophy: "We don't like the cutter"

Think it's possible Duquette was parroting, poorly, a caricature of what his baseball guys told him?

We know Bundy is still throwing his cutter in side sessions, presumably so he doesn't lose it. I think it's perfectly valid to put it up for a year to work on the hook and the change in the hopes that he'll enter Camden Yards as a 4 pitch pitcher. I don't think this is nearly the big deal that it will eventually look like.

Say what you will about the tenents of National Socalism, Dude, but at least its an ethos.

Fantastic time to drop this quote.

Nihilists? $%# me.

I've enjoyed the debate, but I echo the sentiments, re: nothing to see here. DD has never been the most articulate in interviews.

I think it's possible Duquette is enough of a baseball guy himself to negate that possibility. I think he reached that concusion himself, after talking to other baseball guys, of course.
