I don't think Greinke survives the pressure and bats of the AL east. Hamilton is a great player but will be 32 next spring. I don't know if it makes a ton of sense to take a risk on a guy like him if they dump all these other guys a few months earlier.

Not exactly "for nothing." The Red Sox are reportedly getting Rubby de la Rosa, who's a pretty good pitching prospect, and another top prospect yet to be named. They're also getting five years of Crawford's terrible contract off the books, and getting an alleged clubhouse cancer in Beckett out of there. I think it's a pretty good trade for the Sox if it happens. But also pretty amazing.
