Those are not the right numbers. I looked a few weeks ago and his numbers were much worse than they are now. They are respectable, but I think it's his approach that needs to change the most. He can't keep trying to hit one 500 feet every at bat. That's why he's been struggling as of late IMO. He's just trying too hard. When he actually stays patient, he looks like the Jones from

4 months ago. But he's been looking like more of a rookie than Machado up there lately.

RISP (Fixed) .275 .348 .471 .818 OPS

Men on - .277 .331 .486 .817 OPS

I'm not going to pretend he's been terrible in those situations, or that his failure to hit with men on base is the reason he has a low RBI total. He's had 102 AB out of about 550 with RISP. Our OBP is the problem.
