Cubs showing interest in Bedard

Bedard and Robert for Pie, Hill, Murton, Cedeno, and Gallagher would be interesting but I am not sure the Cubs would want to give up Hill. I would want Pie and Hill in any trade where we give up Bedard and Roberts. If they will not give up both Hill and Gallagher I would think about replacing Gallagher with Vitters.

Vitters can't be dealt yet.

Murton is redundant with Scott here.

Cedeno is garbage IMO.

Can't imagine they include Hill in a trade for Bedard...Makes no sense.

I still don't like the Cubs as a trading partner but the more teams that get involved, the better.

Way too many questions marks in that package, IMO.

Not much new or startling here. Basically he is saying "it's feasible that they're talking" without much evidence beyond the relationship between Hendry and MacPhail. I don't see anything that looks like an actual leak of information. It's more a deduction than anything else.

I think most of us here, already aware of that relationship, have figured that it's a possibility.

No real news there. The Cubs are "interested" in Bedard because they are interested in driving the price up for Cincy. I'm sure that if MacPhail thought the Cubs had enough for Erik, it would be done by now. He and Hendry seem to talk quite a bit.
