Would anyone be willing to give Melky Cabrera a 1 year deal?

Im not sure if I would or not. With the PED issues and all, but he will be out to prove something. How much did ped's improve his numbers? How much will they suffer without them?

His career line is .284/.338/.414/.752. Never struck out alot,has some speed, and plays good defense. Is he worth a one year chance?

Pass. Not interested in a cheater. And how do you know he won't try it again. Until MLB imposes a stiffer sentence on these clowns I would think they would be inclined to do it again. What's to stop them, a 50 game suspension? Meanwhile he gets paid. Again. And the team he signs with gets left to twist in the wind. No thanks.

Realistically, we probably cheered on at least a couple PED/former PED users this past season on the O's. I don't really like the guy, but I don't have a problem with them signing guys I don't like if they're going to help the team win.

Agreed. Ive seen numerous suggestions (not as much here) that McLouths drop off, may be due to his stoppage of using peds.

Your right. However, it wouldn't shock me if Adam Jones, Nick Markakis, Matt Wieters, Mark Reynolds, J J Hardy, or any Oriole at one time or uses peds. Its part of the game. Not saying its right, but id say ped usage is more rampant then mlb would admit now.

I would not watch the Orioles in 2013 and I'm not joking. I will not root for roiders and if we were to sign him I'd lose all respect for Duquette. Thankfully I'm 99.9% positive Buck and Duquette want absolutely nothing to do with Cabrera.

Roberts messed up no doubt, but he didn't deny it and he said he was sorry. Americans love people who are contrite, or at least play the part. Roberts has been a pretty good citizen since then so I have no problem with him. He isn't M Ramirez.

Please. Cabrera did the same think Ryan Braun did, his team of agents and managers just weren't as good at casting doubt as Braun's team. Guys try to get an advantage and if they get caught they avoid taking responsibility for it until they absolutely have to. Melky Cabrera is a fine citizen, their situation is identical, except that Cabrera was caught and actually punished. He served his suspension, he shouldn't be black-balled. Brian Roberts acted in his own self interest, denial would be no good as it would linger, better to just claim to have tried it once and then apologize.

Arod said he was sorry too, after he got caught. It just bugs me, that some guys get a free pass (Roberts), because there nice guys. And others get slammed, because there jerks. They all got caught doing the same thing, and they all knew it was cheating. I could care less that he cheated, not a factor on if i'd sign a player. But he does suck, this year and KC were flukes. Now we kinda know why. He looked fat and lazy in NY and ATL.

The same thing??? How is Braun and Cabrera denying what they did and getting away with it the same thing? How about Clemens? Or Bonds? Give me a break. Did McGwire own up to it right away? They didn't have evidence but everyone knew he did it. There are some guys that cop to it, ARod included. And he is a jerk, but that's separate. Roberts has done great work in Baltimore that's no secret. I wasn't happy about what he did, but I think he's acquitted himself well. I think it speaks volumes that the Giants didn't have Cabrera on the WS roster when they could have.

Another thing, I never said anyone should be BB. The sentence should be more severe so these guys think twice before doing it. Colon was happy to collect his salary and be on his way. Does anyone believe he wasn't doing the same thing when he was playing for the Yankees?
