This thread is just for commenting on the show itself, not who won the awards. Personally, I think the show is very mediocre and could be a lot better with a little effort. First of all, replace John Kruk with either a journalist who knows something about fielding (say, Jayson Stark), or a player who was a great defender or at least a student of what makes a great fielder. All Kruk knows about fielding is that he couldn't do it. Second, give us a few statistical facts about the players and explain the case for each one, rather than just showing one highlight play for each player. Third, do a fan poll and see how it compares to the awards given by the managers and coaches. It would probably take an extra 30 minutes to do it well, but it would be worth it.

The introduction and walk-up of each guest was terrible and looked really dumb. It would have been better to just have them standing to the left of KR and then pan left to show them. Not to mention, some of them really gave no context, in-depth analysis, or constructive opinion at all (Andre Dawson).

The guest walk up music was horrible. I agree that Kruk brought little to the table. It would have been nice if it was a bigger and better production.

I thought it was a little weird that they asked Ozzie where he kept all of his 13 Gold Gloves after I read last week how he was going to auction them all off.
