Astros unveil new uniforms, mascot

Boring, plain, easily forgettable (except the batting practice jersey). I don't get it... you are simply changing leagues.. why the complete makeover? Why ditch the home pin-stripes, cool logo, and nice team name stitching on the front for these Met/Red Sox knock offs?

Agree with most of the above. These unis aren't bad to look at, they're just very plain. I like taking the retro angle but if I were a Houston fan I would be disappointed that they didn't do something more unique with the look.

Retro is in. I think clubs have tried to steer away from what might be thought as contemporary or "in" because those looks get quickly outdated...witness the Rays original jerseys, they were awful.

I like the direction the Astros went in here. Less is more, throwback feel, always classic/classy.

They totally ripped off the Capital City Goofball who is a rip off of the Philly Phanatic.

Jerseys aren't bad, but they aren't exactly unique. Take the name off and it could be any number of teams. The orange alternate could be the Orioles BP jersey. Maybe they learned a lesson from the Marlins ;)

The mascot is a rebirth of a mascot they originally introduced in 1990. The episode "Dancin' Homer" was aired November 1990, so the Astros likely were first.
