For me, this is a case of a vague statement by Duquette being blown way out of proportion. I'll be very surprised if we seriously pursue Koji, unless we trade some pitching for a bat first.

Texas Rangers' manager Ron Washington called Koji Uehara on the 4th and spoke to him for about ten minutes. Twelve teams, including the Orioles, Brewers, and Red Sox, are reportedly interested in Uehara. Source: Sponichi 12/6/2012, Nikkan Sports 12/6/2012

Rangers are also interested in Yoshinori Tateyama. From ESPN's Richard Durrett:

We really didn't have a true need for him, but it sure would have been nice to have him back. I love rooting for Koji, but I HATE the sux. My hatred for the sux is too much to overcome... screw you Koji!
