Huh. That's no good. I guess I'll have to hope this is another Sox desperation move, filling all of their holes with expensive past-prime players who'll get injured and decline. Koji is one of my favories.

I like Koji but it makes little sense for a team coming off a 93 loss season to sign him. The Red Sox have spent a lot of money this offseason to add some old Free Agents that won't make them contenders.

I'm really kind of perplexed by their approach. It looks like an awful lot of bandaids designed to try to squeeze a few competitive years out of Ortiz and Pedroia before... what? Do they really have a next wave approaching on the farm? It might work, or it might go down in flames.
