O's will probably make a trade at the meetings

had one club source tell me that the team has the pieces to pull off a pretty significant deal for a power hitter right now ? but they have to decide whether to pull the trigger.

I think it might be Hosmer. Tillman and what else gets it done?

I like Tillman but I'd make that trade. I might even add a little more to get it done. If the team believes in Arrieta, Britton and Matusz and thinks Gausman and Bundy are almost ready, now is the time to deal a starter and Hosmer is a great young talent. Seems fair.

DD stated that there were 5 or 6 teams that they would be with regarding trades. I'm assuming that they are all for a MOO bat. If Kansas City is one of them, who are the other 5?

MIN - Willingham, Morneau

SD - Headley

I'm fine with Hammel, Chen, and Gonzo being our top 3 arms next year if we can get Hosmer. I just would rather not have Matusz and Arrieta as our 4 and 5. If DD makes this move I'm fine with it. I just want to see an additional move be made to make up for Tillman leaving.

Making this move also would show a ton of faith in Bundy and Gausman being ready very soon.

Hammel is rumored to be available as well. I hear what your saying Grimed. What I've read is that the Royals will be trying to move salary to fit a TOR into their budget. Hosmer doesnt do that for them yet. Butler more fits the need to remove salary in the process.

It's a bit risky, but moving Hammel might be smarter in the long run than trading Tillman. I just hope we don't move both.
