We are entertaining trading prospects because there aren't free agents that upgrade the team the way that DD wants to.

So Hamilton in LF or Grienke in the rotation, doesn't upgrade us? Signing Grienke "would" make trading some of the young pitching for a bat less of a blow. But, they won't spend on Grienke either.

I just said it would upgrade us. It's just a stupid decision to spend what they are asking for. Jayson Werth would have helped us also.

They are seriously over-valueing Butler. He will be in KC in 2012, if they don't get back in touch with reality.
