Danny Bautista. The dude that we traded for Jason Grimsley.
Nah. You know I mean Felix Bautista. You don’t want to count him. You don’t have to. I count him as an international free agent.
Once again, folks here like to act like we had no one doing anything before Elias showed up.
That's not true. You know it's not true.
I'm not saying it's been a bust but I think folks should stop expecting this steady stream of impact guys coming down the pipeline.
Like I said, patience. Yes it's been six years - six years that the O's have even had an international presence of any consequence thanks to Elias. Yes I remember the few before. Now we have a state of the art academy to add to the Orioles prospects of drafting in that arena. All I basically said is this arena is another source from which to draft and potentially develop ML pitching and I for the life of me don't see why you felt the need to respond to my post but then it's been a while. And yes, I am anxious to see what perulates and we do have some in the pot as you mention.
I don’t mind D’arnaud, but I wonder what’s wrong with Banuelos or Handley or Hunt? Is Pinto significantly better than these guys we already have?
How about Carson Kelly, who has very similar- but slightly better-stats to McCann and would be far less expensive?
The argument is pretty simple. A 101-win team is probably better than a 91-win team, having won ten more games, and would be more likely to win a playoff game, even if it might not happen.
I’m not sure why this is a subject of contention.
