And I was learning so much.

I had no idea that the concept of lineup protection only applied to one hitter in the lineup.

I never said that. I was answering your 1st question, not your 2nd question, which was the exact opposite of your first. But then, that's the way you roll. You have no argument that you cab support. You just argue.

Ah OK. I will give you that point, I read your reply incorrectly. However you did say

For the last time Meow, the very definition of lineup protection is to bat a good hitter behind your best hitter
earlier, so it was easy for me to misinterpret. Nice to see you changed your view on that at least.

What's your deal, Gordo? In your universe, does the possibility exist that you are ever wrong? Did you read the study you asked for? Like, seriously, what's your deal?
My deal is people who argue and play simatic games because they always have to feel like they win, are tedious nitpicking pissing contestants IMO. The thread is far from the OP discussion of Hardy and the better options in the #2, and the opinions of both sides on the issue of protection were made clear many pages ago. Give it a rest. :rolleyestf:

I don't feel like I have to win. What you believe about lineup protection has zero impact on my life. But if you check out of a debate every time your beliefs come into contact with the facts because suddenly it's "tedious", I don't know why you even bother. I'm not a fanatic. If you had any evidence that lineup protection were a real effect, I would change my mind if it held up. Not you, though.
