I always cringe a little when I see someone like Bedard completely available but not picked up but the Orioles for a test. I mean, he still got something left doesn't he?

But this year especially (different from year's past), it really makes no sense for the Orioles this year. They have too many options at SP to be acquiring a service project in the winter. Maybe if he was still on the market in mid May...

Regarding Bedard, I still can't help but root for the guy. I hope he re-discovers some stuff and pitches well for the Astros. They could certainly use the help...
