Disagreed. Way to back up your point as well.

When you say that Fahey is not better by a lot, you're relying on...a small sample size?

Just what I have seen....I don't need a bunch of numbers that are spanned over 2 weeks to justify an opinion.

The difference isn't that large from what I saw.

If you are going to start of a sentence saying, in 23 games at SS last year, it automatically becomes meaningless.

"Well, that's just like...your opinion...man"

Are my opinions not valid? Are you saying that your opinions are more so. If you can base what you stated to be quite conclusive statements, then I feel that it's OK if just about anybody can do that.

What we do know is that the Atlanta Braves had him high in their system (at one point) because of his fielding. They ditched him because his hitting is so godawful.

What I saw from Fahey last year was very unimpressive. There simply is no sample size with Fahey. Like I stated, in 2006 he only had 11 PO's. How exactly did you come to any sort of a conclusion? Hernandez had 20 more than that? Does that make him twice as good?

The fact remains, if you're going to scream "Small sample size" at least do it consistently.

Who the hell said your opinions aren't valid? Stop getting yoru panties in a bunch. I just disagree with you. As for coming up with evidence..Why? 23 games is a ridiculous sample size..It is meaningless.

Ok and your point? I never said he wasn't a good fielder...I said he was above average and better than Fahey...Are you really trying to argue the difference between a little or a lot more? Who the hell cares? I am glad you think he is a lot better...Now, am I supposed to care? Am i supposed to look at a small sample of stats, bow to your presence and say, you are right?? Give me a break.

When did I say anything about Fahey's sample size? Oh wait, I didn't.

I have watched them both....I think LH is better but not be a substantial amount.

Geez, Christmas joy apparently hasn't hit you yet. :D

I'm not mad at all. I'm laughing. Anytime I get to quote Big Lebowski I'm in a great mood.

As for the issues the "Who the hell cares?" applies to whether or not which one is a better option, in a hypothetical scenario. I've already said I don't want either, but should the replacement get hurt, the issue becomes valid.

If you're only saying "he's above average" but not "very good" or excellent" then I disagree with you. I agree with vatech1994 that says he's a helluva SS.

I don't care one bit what you think about my opinions or not.

What the difference lies in is who would be the better replacement for a hurt SS and who would you keep in the organization if you could only keep one? Personally, I would take LH and it's not close. I don't care where you stand on this issue. I post on here to get my ideas out there. Whether or not you agree or disagree with me I don't care. It's not necessary to say "Are you really trying to debate a little or a lot?" You honestly think I care enough?

Good lord, SG. Having just read through the entire thread, you've been appallingly flippant and condescending in multiple posts. And on Christmas Eve, too! Where's the holiday cheer??

Yea and I am sure you just gloss over everyone else doing it to me...as you always do.

Certainly not at the same level (except for a comment by vatech when he misinterpreted your comment to Fairfax Bird). For instance, in the post you quoted before mine, Tommy was frustrated that you seemed to be ignoring his opinion, and you responded, "Who the hell said your opinions aren't valid? Stop getting yoru panties in a bunch." An unnecessarily harsh reply to a fairly innocuous comment. There were plenty of nicer ways to say that, no? How about, "I didn't imply that your opinions aren't valid." See? There'd be no personal attack there. There are other examples in this thread-- for instance, your first post of the thread, which bashed vatech for some reason, even though he hadn't even posted anything yet. I just don't see why you-- or anyone-- feels the need to add the condescending, flippant remarks when you can make your point just as easily without them.

A good piece of advice to everyone on this board-- before you hit the "Send" button, read over your post, and think to yourself whether it properly expresses the way you want to come across. Tone is often a hard thing to convey in print, so quickly check to see how your message might come across.

Anyway-- happy holidays to all.
