Well, he was at Fan Fest, so clearly he's already been around the organization a bit of late. Why not? If he shows he has anything left, he could end up pretty high up there on the Dan Duquette catching lightning in a bottle signing, and if he doesn't it's a nice segue into coaching or something at the minor league level.

He is 43 years old and his rookie year was 1991 for the Orioles.

He's 43. He did make the all-star team in 2011, which he had a helluva year. Possibly a career year. Arthur was pretty darn durable. He has season ending surgery in 2007 while with the M's (I believe) besides that he was a bullpen workhorse in the last 10 years (sans last year when he retired.) I guess he can't stay away from the game.

He and his family live in the area, so I guess the O's are a good fit for him, since all the affiliates are local.
