As expected it does make a difference, however it might be less then previously thought.

Also, turns out Jones was the Iron Man in Center last season:

Last year, the only outfielder to play 1,458 innings (9 times 162) was Adam Jones. Only Alex Gordon and Hunter Pence cleared the 1,400 inning mark.

Does this mean that the number of extra innings played exactly equals the number of road losses? If so, that's wild. Or did they simply take 162 x9 to get to their innings played and are inaccurate?

I read it as he is the only one that met the threshold of 1,458. My guess is he was a bit over that. (Don't care enough to look it up.) :P

According to bb-ref Jones played in exactly 1,458 innings in CF. He started 161 out of 162 and 'only' played in 151 'complete games' in CF. All the extra inning games got him up to that number I'm sure.
