Harvey had a no-hitter through 6.67 innings.

His E.R.A. went up from 0.64 to 0.82 because he gave up 1 run over 8 innings.

The Mets' defense put Harvey in a HUGE hole that inning, and he got out of it.

After 6 shutout innings, Harvey gave up a walk and 2 singles, and the lead was cut to 4-1. That's on him.

But then on a double play ball, Daniel Murphy made a crappy throw to second, and not only did they not get 2, they didn't even get 1.

Bases loaded, nobody out, and the Nationals already had 1 run in.

Harvey ......

A. Strikes out Suzuki.

B. Gets Bernadina to foul out to the catcher.

C. Gets Denard Span to ground out to end the inning.

Very impressive.

Harvey had a perfect game going until an infield single by Alex Rios with 2 outs in the 7th inning broke it up.

Harvey completed that inning plus 2 more, for 9 shutout innings.

Rios was the only baserunner that Harvey allowed in the 9 innings.
