FWIW, Norfolk is in first place in their division of the International League. They're .5 games out of the best record in the league.

And if you take our the horrible 1-4 start, they're 21-7 since. They are simply dominating right now. But when you look at the team, you have a rotation full of guys who could be 4/5 type starters in the bigs. You have several Norfolk/Baltimore shuttle guys in the lineup and major league experience all over the roster.

On the other hand, what the heck has happened to Lew Ford? He batted over .400 for a very good portion of the season last year in Norfolk. Now? .182????

Not only are the AAA-Tides in 1st place in the South Division, they are 1/2 a game behind Indianapolis for the best record in the entire International League:

Lew was killing it AA too. Makes me think the gap between AA and AAA is more than some make it out to be.

Trailing by a score of 7-5 late in the game, the Tides scored 7 runs in the 8th inning en route to a 12-7 victory, which was their 4th straight win, and their 14th win in their last 17 games.

The Tides just refuse to lose, as they start to pull away from Durham in the South Division, and remain 1/2 a game behind Indianapolis for the best record in the entire International League.

P.S.

Last night was throwback day, as the team wore the TIDEWATER TIDES uniforms from the days when they were the Mets' AAA affiliate.
