Has anyone seen this documentary of Dominican baseball academies? I saw it last night on Netflix, and really enjoyed it.

It profiles two Dominican kids as they get ready for the July 2 signing day. One is Miguel Angel Sano, who the O's were pursuing until MLB invented a potential scandal involving his age. This isn't too surprising considering Sano was poised to rake in a huge bonus.

Anyway, it really is a shame the O's backed off on him as he is looking like a potential superstar. One comment in the documentary said the O's were prepared to offer $5M until the "scandal" broke, and he eventually signed for $3.15M.

Yes. I liked it.

They are still doing all they can to make it.

I don't think the scandal was invented. It was just papered up.

And he's great, whatever his age.
