This game is all on Buck

There was another thread on here this week about Buck's poor management of the bullpen. Today's game seems like another example, as he seemed to go with both Mutusz and Patton one more inning than he should have. I think this is all a product of the team trying to hold on to McFarland and carry an extra position player. I don't know if the pen can continue to dominate at the rate some of our guys are throwing.

Why, because he went with three of our most reliable bullpen guys and they failed to show up? The game's on them.

Huh??? The 4 run Gonzalez inning. I don't get it. He and Adair tend to sit on the bench and watch pitchers go off the cliff. Why wasn't Adair out there talking to Gonzalez?? Worried about a delay of game call? He did the same with Arrieta's last outing... finally came out when with two outs after the damage was done. It wasn't like Gonzalez was getting hit on good pitches. He was all over the place. Six run lead into the sixth, a win is a win. Now he has a worn out bullpen for the Seattle series. Just a very poor job of coaching if not managing.

Gonzo's inning was the key. This is definitely all on Buck. We won't say that often, but this time it is true.

Gonzalez is the starting pitcher. He's expected to work his way through that inning. His pitch count was low enough.

If he walked two guys in the first, would you have pulled him?
