The present scores seem high in places. The score for defense seems especially generous.

Shame the part about being able to play for many years ended up not being true.

It was in fourth grade that I brought a baseball bat to school for picture day. I thought about doing the Bo pose with the bat (you know the one), but I don't think they ended up letting me, if I recall correctly. Sometimes hard to believe that was over 20 years ago. When he got injured, I didn't think the comeback would work, even though I really wanted it to, at least for baseball.

That is to to be a mistake on the scouts part. NO way this guy was not an 8. He ran for over 200 yards in a game. He ran for like 1600 yards in only ten games starting. He was freakish at football.

He did run a 4.12 40 at the combine. Must have had weights tied to his ankles the day that scout saw him.

Or he couldn't get out of the batter's box cleanly after swinging.

He was an 8 runner out of the box. If you recall, his first hit at the MLB level was beating out a grounder to second base...

Actually I didn't recall that. I do now, but didn't then. Maybe he improved from when the scout graded him?

Perhaps, but more likely the scout just missed the grade. Jackson was an elite burner. Keep in mind, there was almost no minor league developmental time for Jackson. He started in Double-A and was called-up to Kansas City within a half a season.
