Too many pitches for two outs already. I hope Chris can cut down the pitch is needed for outs in the upcoming innings.

I might've played Nate against Moore today. Lefties hit more better than righties. Hopefully, Steve will do well.

I spent yesterday getting a little sarcastic about the "sky is falling" posts. So here's my gloom input for today: I don't have a good feeling about Tillman. I think he's at his best when he's kind of hidden in the rotation, but suddenly he's being asked to be The Man (by default, but whatever) and I'm not sure how he will handle it. So there.

.

I'm hoping that we can somehow use this to our advantage today:

Matt Moore has gas given out 26 free passes (25 walks, and 1 hit batsman) in 48 innings this season. He has thrown at least 100 pitches in all 8 of his outings this season, including 3 in which he went 5.33, 5, and 5 innings in his 2nd, 6th, and 7th starts, respectively. In those 3 starts, his pitch-counts were:

106 (54 Strikes, 52 Balls)

101 (53 Strikes, 48 Balls)

104 (56 Strikes, 48 Balls)

Only 19 for Tillman in the first, I am feeling CG.

Also some good news.

The difference wouldn't be too big if Matusz hadn't lost his changeup, that was supposed to be his best pitch, and its seemingly gone.

As well as he has been pitching out of the bullpen since he went there last year, do you think that he should try to rediscover it (the change-up), or leave well enough alone, and continue pitching the way that he has been?
