5/20 vs. Yankees

Every telling peripheral and statistic said he was due to regress this season. You keep believing he's the best closer in baseball if you want.

Maybe not the best, but far from the worst.

I actually wish those who said O'Day should have stayed in were appeased. Hindsight that seems like the right answer now, he was on fire.

No doubt we go down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning. We won't even put up a fight.

I don't blame them either when your closer loses you 3 straight games that should've been wins. Must be deflating knowing JJ single handedly cost them it.

For everyone saying I dont want to use Patton or Strop here or there....

When your getting on average about 5 or so innings from your starters and not even a very good 5 or so innings you kinda have to be able to use everyone in you pen.

If cant bring them in then they dont belong here.

I never said he was the best closer in baseball. Or that he wouldn't regress a bit. He's just off, clearly. It's not like he's pitching like he always has and just getting beat. He's NOT RIGHT. His mechanics are completely off. Once he sorts it out, he'll be a great pitcher again.

How many games are you willing to allow him to blow to get him back on track? 3? 5? 10? His confidence is clearly gone, you think they're doing him a favor by running him out there?
