Milton Bradley - Convicted

Yeah, really not surprised at all that Bradley ended up this way. Can't say as I feel sorry for him as he had better opportunities and resources than most.

As a player, I always enjoyed watching him hit and thought he was underrated. He had a great approach and skills as a hitter. Would have gone a lot farther with a better head.

Great hitter...severe emotional problems (I assume). I was never sure if his issues had been there all of his life (if so he really made it a long way) or if they developed/greatly worsened during his time in the bigs.

Who knew... excerpt from Wiki.

In 2004 with the Dodgers - On September 19, he hit a 479-foot home run against the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field. He was suspended for the rest of the 2004 regular season on September 29 when after a fan threw a bottle at him after committing an error fielding a line drive, he left his position in right field, picked up the bottle and threw it into the stands, yelling at the fan.

Looks like 2 1/2 years for this yahoo.

"Former big-league player Milton Bradley was sentenced to 960 days in jail and must perform 400 hours of community service for abusing his estranged wife, reports the Associated Press.

Bradley is appealing the sentence and remains free on a $250,000 bond."
