Fred Manfra Doesn't Agree With Booing Strop

I disagree with Fred today. Strop's days are numbered. I say there's a 50/50 chance Strop is gone before the All Star Break ends. We don't need guys who grab defeat from the jaws of victory. We need gamers, not head cases.

I'm not used to disagreeing with Fred- thus the post.

It should be a 100% chance that he's gone after tonight.

They put him on the "DL", had him take grounders at SS to get his mind off pitching...he still sucks. What else is there to do with him? You can only cost yourself so many games by carrying him on the roster and putting him in games.

Someone in the warehouse should be on Expedia buying him a plane ticket out of Baltimore right now.

I kind of agree with Fred. I don't like to see our own players get booed. They should have been booing Showalter when HE came out of the dugout.

If a player is bad he deserves to get booed. No matter what team he is on. It's really that simple. This isn't little league. If his feeling are "getting hurt" at this level he shouldn't be playing.

Players still get their money so he probably doesn't care anyway.

in my opinion of course.

I would never boo someone for playing poorly.

I would only boo someone for an obvious lack of effort.

Exactly. Booing your own player when he's trying... I can understand it, but I can't condone it. It's very counter-productive, imo.

Pretty sure he, and all of the Orioles, care. You think these guys are just mercenaries? Most of them have devoted their lives to baseball.
