Where's JTrea?

Hahahaha look what Rosenthal said...

The A's strong returns for right-hander Dan Haren and outfielder Nick Swisher in recent trades seemingly has increased the Orioles' leverage. The addition of Bedard, meanwhile, would give the Mariners a potentially dynamic rotation to compete with the Angels in the American League West.

What an idiot, huh?!?!?!

Like I said if MacPhail gets this done, I'll be the first one to applaud him. I have no problem if my opinion or thoughts were proved wrong if we can pull off a good trade for Bedard.

Rosenthal needs to cut this crap though:

For the Orioles, the final approval for a Bedard deal would rest with owner Peter Angelos, who has long resisted trading veterans for prospects but hired MacPhail last June with the understanding that the team needed a new direction.

He keeps spewing anti-Angelos crap. What was the Tejada trade Ken?

Could getting a commitment from CCubs to get Marshall back mean McPhail is able to move away from the Morrow requriement and on to another prospect or 2 in Seattle's farm?

If we could somehow swing Triunfel and Tillman in this deal along with Jones and Clement, I would be quite happy! :D

"The Mariners also are willing to include catcher Jeff Clement and third baseman Matt Tuiasosopo, sources say. The Orioles, however, might prefer a choice of left-hander Tony Butler, right-hander Chris Tillman and 17-year-old shortstop Carlos Triunfel."

I wonder if we could get all five of Jones, Clement, Tillman, Butler, and Triunfel for Bedard +1. I would want to flip Sean Marshall if we get him from the cubs deal for Roberts because really his value seems limited due to the fact that we have a great amount of guys who can compete for the 3,4, and 5 spots of the rotation.

ROTFLMAO

Wait, you mean the laws of supply and demand and open competition are valid? And here I thought we'd found a whole new way to look at the free market.

This made my week, thanks

I'm not saying that the Bedard deal will get done, because who knows... but it's fun to give JTrea a hard time. ;)

Also, did you see the Indians name pop up? Could that be the surprise team that several insiders alluded to?

Makes you wonder ???? Wasn't it a NL team though???

Dont Want Matt Tuiasosopo

I certainly would take two of the other 3 with Jones & Clement assuming Sherrill

is not included.

I don't think applause is quite enough; a little humble pie/crow eating would be in order IMHO.:002_sbiggrin:
