Scott Feldman Today, 2013

Feldman is arrieta, no better.

I was as big an Arrieta supporter as anyone else on here, but this is silly.

Feldman has been about a league average starter in 118 career starts spread over six seasons. Arrieta has been about a replacement level starter in 63 career starts over four seasons. Arrieta has to have a big turnaround, and then keep that momentum going for a couple years, to start being as good as Feldman.

Wait a minute.

On April 10th against the Red Sox, he did make it through the 5th inning on 69 pitches.

He allowed 3 runs in those 5 innings, and was removed from the game for Tommy Hunter.

He did walk 4 batters in those 5 innings, though.

The point is, Lee type pitcher is what we need to go deep in postseason, not a guy who has been sent packing twice since '03. Angelos will never spend the $ needed to win.

Care to provide some valid evidence to suggest Lee was/is available? Even if he was, the Orioles don't have the pieces to get him or a similar player. And Jake Arrieta wishes he had Scott Feldman's career at this point.
