You think Markakis is doing better then Davis?

I was speaking of Leyland, the same guy that picked Tillman based on his win total.

I don't care about the All-Star game. Would be happier if Bud Selig called it a tie and forfeited.

Going to catch up on sleep and wake up when real baseball is on.

If I were making out a batting order for one G, I am not sure I would go by the book which is based on aggregate numbers. What happens in a single game would not necessarily follow statistical tendencies. More likely intangibles like Davis' broken blister, or who had a bad flight, or what a SP ate for breakfast which now disagrees with him. In these circumstances I would want to insure I get the best hitter in baseball up in the first inning.

So true.

I can't believe Bud Selig approves of the AS game being the determination for home field advantage in the WS.

It makes my head go.... :awesome:

He already is.

This board really needs to have better policies with regards to starting new threads. For some people, it seems like every time they have any kind of thought whatsoever about the Orioles, they start a thread. For others, it's tiny bits of very insignificant news that get overinflated with a hyperbolic thread title.

I just merge them. The policies are fine. I just don't attend to it all the time.

Davis and Cabrera are within a few thousandths of a percentage in OPS. Davis is significantly ahead in slugging. A case could be made.

Only problem is that OBP is more valuable than SLG. Plus, Cabrera plays in a much more pitcher-friendly park.

I'm pretty ok with Davis being the 2nd best to that guy.
