Soriano just scratched from Cubs lineup

Good move by NY. Cheap (relatively) and a needed boost for the offense. Funny how his trade to the Rangers landed the Yankees Rodriguez in 2004. He's in the Yankees lineup against Boston tonight.

I'm don't like the move. They get a guy with some pop who can't get on base and strikes out a lot and is pretty bad defensively. The Cubs win this trade just for getting him out of the lineup.

Well, his .254 BA with 17 home runs and 51 RBIs is going to be appreciated over some of the offensive support they've been dealing with. He could have DH'd for the Orioles but he said he would only waive his NT clause to go to the Yankees; no other team would have been considered.

I just find it hard to believe he wouldn't wave it to play with any AL East contender.
