Don't like including Hader, but I'm happy we're in a position where we have pieces to deal in a deadline trade...and are acquiring, not selling.

Good perspective here. I would like to know more about Hader. Where was he ranked? Doing research now..

IIRC, He's a local guy doing great in the low minors this year.

While I hate to give up Hader, I'm not that concerned. We've got Rodriguez and others in the queue that are further along. Who knows...maybe Hader will be a good MLB pitcher...he may wind up a reliever.

I would imagine this is why the O's included Hader. He's behind Gausman, Bundy, and Ed Rod already (and there may be others like Harvey that the O's rate higher).

They got the piece they wanted without giving up a major piece. Hader is a long way from the ML and Hoes was nothing more than a 4th OF to most. Losing that pick might be the biggest loss.

I wish Hoes the best of luck, will be watching him and hoping for the best for him in Houston!

Exactly. You hate giving up good pieces, but that's why you build depth. Gausman, Bundy, Rodriguez, plus our current ML pitchers. That's enough.
