Machado has to understand though how dumb that approach was against a guy like Saunders who had basically thrown five balls to Markakis (one called a strike). In the old days, Weaver would have ripped him a new one, but nowadays hitters just have carte blanche to swing anytime they want, in any situation, no matter how dumb. It cost us big that inning.

Seattle has been hitting like the '27 Yankees since July. They have a bad record because every team can clobber their pitching except for the O's.
