.500 RISP is just Meh?

Listen, I like BRob, I like him over Flaherty. I think people overhype Flaherty. But at the end of the day BRob is still batting only 234, is 4 for his last 30, provides below average defense, and is too afraid to steal anymore it seems. So lets just settle down here, neither of them are really any good.

But yes, if you cherry pick a finite number at bats in certain categories, he's having a hall of fame type of year.

I'm frustrated with how quickly folks seem to be to criticize are longest tenured Os in BRob and Markakis. They are definitely not what they were in there primes but are still contributing. I'm glad to have both guys on the team and hope they both get to play in the playoffs this year.

Markakis should be in his prime right now

Markakis should be in his prime right now

True. Seems like he's been here forever. Even so, he is what he is. A good fielder, a hit for average guy with not a ton of power. Glad to have him in there every day.

Now if its his positioning in the lineup, that's a buck thing and not his fault.

They are bandwagon fans with no loyalty, what do you expect?

Is it against the rules of "true fandom" to point out current productivity? Does pointing out players' deficiencies automatically mean that one isn't "rooting for" a particular player to succeed?

By your rules of proper fandom are we allowed to want a roster change to increase our TEAM'S chance of winning?

I'd much rather have Flaherty out there. Flaherty may be our future second baseman. Roberts, obviously, is not. If we think their current performance levels are comparable, then Flaherty should get the playing time.

Indeed.

Flaherty is better than Roberts right now, IMO, and it's not that surprising, either, ie, it's not something we couldn't have foreseen.

To be honest I'm rather disappointed with the way they've jerked Flaherty around this season.
