Kazmir agrees to 2yrs $22m deal with A's #Confirmed

That's it? What a steal.

Call me crazy but $11m per year for a guy who was basically out of baseball two years ago seems nuts. I guess I have to get used to these new contracts.

Salary caps will come soon too. It's getting crazy. 300M for a 31 year old Cano? 100M for Ervin Santana. Players are asking for wayyy too much

I doubt we will ever see salary caps in baseball.

Secondly, just because a player asks for it doesn't mean he should get it. No one is holding a gun next to these owners' heads and making them sign them.

You honestly thought that was even a possibility?

Baseball is the only sport without a salary cap, and the luxury tax isn't working.

Proponents for the Salary Cap has been pushing for awhile now, and the latest salary craziness only helps their cause.
