I doubt that Angelos specifically told anybody to get rid of JJ. But I am positive that Angelos gave DD a budget where paying JJ $10 million was impossible. So they're both right.

I disagree. HE could have traded Chris Davis, Adam Jones, or JJ Hardy and kept Johnson. I was going to say Markakis, but y'know.

I am guessing you were mad about Mark Reynolds being let go as well. You can't overpay for bad players. I don't understand how anyone thinks Jim Johnson is worth 10+ million blowing game after game.

If he isn't worth 10 million than why do we have all these posts by everyone complaining about Johnson being let go. I think the lack of return verifies that he is overpayed.

Yes, people are ticked off, the franchize is doing very well fiscally, and while most of us, dont expect them to go after Cano and the very big/stupid contracts. You need to make improvements by adding some of the middle tier FAs, and they are not even courting them.

Unfortunately, Angelos comes by his poor reputation as a MLB owner honestly and just by misguided misconception. There are numerous errors in judgement over the years, and fans are getting tired of his ownership.
