For people who want Balfour this is good news. This takes one more suitor off the table. The Padres are rumored to be after Benoit. That leaves Balfour for the Orioles. The Mariners are now mentioned as a potential suitor. Looks like the O's went to three years.

I think Cleveland had the Original three year deal up for the Aussie.

Even if we don't wind up getting Balfour, signing Axford and counting on him to be the closer would be a bad move. So I hope someone else takes him off the market.
