Anyone still want Mark Reynolds?

He's not even a year removed from this gargantuan:

I suppose he's looking for a major league deal, but I'm not sure who would pay him. Maybe the Marlins since they are looking for a 3B (haha).

Would you bring him back for a minor league deal?

Does Norfolk need a corner infielder?

Sure if he wants a minor league deal. But he'll play every day of the season in AAA unless Chris Davis is hurt. Besides, Yankees are sniffing him as a secondbaseman.

I think hot chocolate just shot out of my nose! It's been 3 hours since I drank hot chocolate!

Back on subject. I don't think I'd mind having him back. He does take walks at least.

No I would not want him our minor league system. Time for him to retire.

Emergency 3b...back up 1b...emergency DH vs RHP and starting DH vs LHP...Wouldn't hurt Davis to sit 5-10 games a year early on vs guys like Price, Lester, Sale, Sabathia, etc and use him late in the game. I suppose that wouldn't happen though.

Is that worth a roster spot when you have a rule V guy to keep? ;)

No Room On 25 man roster. IF Davis needs to sit, Markakis or Flaherty or Pearce can play.

Career OPS is .793 - much, much higher than anything we'll get from our DH or LF.

Why not bring him to camp as a LF or DH platoon with Hank. I could probably make a case for Reynolds over Pearce for that last roster spot.

If he bounces back with 35 homers (very realistic) for pennies on the dollar, we will have done well. If he and Hank both have good first halves, we might get a decent prospect for him in July. Seems like a Billy Beane type of move and one we should consider.
