Not only that but the OP is upset because Angelos doesn't want to mortgage the future for one shot at a ring.

Heaven forbid we get a team that consistently wins around here.

I guess Birdland would have been happy as a Jays fan last offseason.

Luckily the O's farm system is now so stocked thanks to Petey not mortgaging the future.

You know who had a stocked farm system?

The Blue Jays.

Then they went for it.

You keep saying crap like this but look at the last 12 WS teams all had huge payrolls. Cheap stuff wont win you anything.

Right, and the fact that the smaller payroll teams that are making the playoffs are losing short series means something.

Oh wait it doesn't.

So you're happy going to the playoffs and losing? Sorry i want something better.

So, we might have a shot in 3 or 4 years? Barring we've replaced Wieters, Jones, and Davis. Oh and haven't traded Manny yet.

Hey some fans are happy with cutting payroll when the team is good it seems.

You do know only one team wins a year right? So even if titles were evenly distributed you are looking at two maybe three titles in a fan's life right?

You build the team to get to the playoffs then you roll the dice and take your shot. This isn't the NBA, a team can't cost through the regular season then make the playoffs. (cept the Tigers in 2012)
