I do not think we are going to be happy this evening. But if we want to act like we have any chance of getting on the bubble this year this is a absolute must win game. As I see it we can only have 2 more losses and will have to have 2 maybe 3 wins in the ACC tourney to make it. With 2 against VA and one against Duke and 'Cuse we can't lose tonight or our season is over. Which it probably is already anyway.

Terps haven't won a big game all year, so I have no reason to think they will tonight.

We are 13-9 with no marquee wins. We'd have to go 6-3 the rest of the way with a win against Duke or Syracuse to even have a chance. And even then we'd have to win a few in the ACC tournament probably. I've seen this team play enough to know that's not gonna happen.

I'm optimistic about tonight. UNC usually prides itself on drawing contact in the lane and shooting 3's. Surprisingly the Tar Heels are ranked near the bottom in the country in 3PM % and FT%. However, the Heels inside players such as McAdoo and Johnson will have a field day against Cleare and Mitchell. McAdoo is a matchup nightmare for this Terps team, the only two players I can see matching up with him are Layman and Graham . What the Terps should take advantage of is how soft the Heels guards are. Paige, McDonald and Britt are undersized guards who Wells, Allen, and Faust should bully around tonight.

I think tonight will be a shootout, neither team plays well defensively and the Terps need to keep up the pressure on defense to prevent the Heels from running. This is a huge game for the Terps so I'll go Terps 81 UNC 78.

Emotionally, I'm allowing myself to get excited for another game. Logically, I'm prepared to be disappointed.

They're 13-9 now, but they only have one remaining game out of nine in which they're a clear favorite. Right now, setting my fandom aside, I see the Terps finishing the regular season anywhere from 14-17 to 17-14 with 15-16 being the most likely scenario. I see tonight as a clear loss. So a win tonight changes the whole landscape and at least starts to make them an NIT consideration.

Dez had a chance to cut the lead to two and misses all three FTs.

Yeah he did not look focused at all on those free throws but obviously was not happy about his performance on the next drive back down the lane! Hopefully this gets him going we need him and need him bad

Just started watching the last five minutes seems like everybody's a bit out of control on both sides. Glad I missed the beginning. Haha

Things did get out of control. Wells and Layman were both on the bench at the time. Both have two fouls. Peters was especially bad.
