If there is anything more annoying then a Jeter love fest it is Tex talking about how much he loves Jeter.

I should have anticipated that this was gonna be Jeter's last year! Then bought a ticket for the last game of the season in the Bronx.

Damnit Phil! You could have made some easy money!

I had tickets for Ripken's last home game...then 9/11 happened. At least I saw Ripken's last home run instead that day, but I couldn't get tickets for the revised "last game."

Schadenfreude rules, so maybe Jeter can end the year on the D/L devaluing all those "last game" tickets. ;)

As the baseball world is going to play "All Hail Jeter" tonight, it got me wondering, "What made him so good?". I know he was "clutch" in the post-season, but so was Mark Lemke (who? my point exactly, look him up). I can't see why the love affair with him. Was it because he played in NY? Would he even be considered for the Hall of Fame if he played in Minnesota? Help me out; am I just using my orange glasses?
