wow what a great 15 minute Manny Machado segment. All about his comeback and therapy. Good on ESPN

I'll put your post on the main board.

If you don't mind, maybe you can elaborate on it there. :)

What the hell's so special about the Dodgers? First they got to kick off the MLB season with those goofy Australia games, right? Okay. But now they get to kick off the MLB season again as the only game the day before Opening Day. Wtf?

Considering that team already has two wins, well... That was quite the feat!

Oh, sorry. My bad. It's the opener for the Padres, not the Dodgers.

I should probably delete this thread. Or, at least change the name of it to "North American Home Opener."

Brian Wilson came into the game to start the 8th inning with a 1-0 lead.

He gave up a home run to the first batter that he faced, walked the second batter that he faced, and then threw away a sacrifice bunt attempt to allow that runner to reach safely.

Then, after lead runner stole 3rd base, the trail runner took 2nd base on "defensive indifference," and then he gave up a 2-run single.

And then, his buddy at first base (Adrian Gonzalez) committed an error to allow the next batter to reach safely, with the lead runner taking second base.

Now he (Wilson) is leaving the game with nobody out, 3 runs already in, and runners on 1st and 2nd base.

Ouch.

"Did you ever have a hatchet go right through your head ??? I hate when that happens."

I think it was Carlin. Riffing on paper cuts...

I HATE when that happens! Nothing hurts more than a paper cut.

I would think running head-on into a THRASHING MACHINE would be worse!
