Classic Tillman--had trouble putting hitters away but didn't give up much.

That's 'cause he threw strikes. 73 strikes to 32 balls and only one walk. Detroit hitters fouled off a lot of pitches.

I'll take it. Obviously you want him to go deeper, but this ain't June. The bullpen has more length and only needs to get through one month.

Great outing for Chris. Made one bad pitch to V-Mart. The one to Martinez was on the outside half and forced him to go to right field, he just hit it out. Overcame some really tough ABs by Kinsler and got out of the bases loaded jam.

What a story of a start. First inning was Mussina esque striking out the side, second inning was Rocky Coppinger esque. Serviceable is the perfect way to describe it. It wasn't his best outside of the K's, but he kept the team in it and limited the damage. Now to build off that.
