.

Garza got two quick outs in the 7th inning before surrendering a solo home run to Chris Johnson.

6.67 innings of no-hit ball for Garza.

Harang's no-no is still alive at 6 innings.

I wonder what would be rarer....a double no-hitter (with one of the team losing via walks and/or errors) or another Johnny Van Der Meer pitching two no hitters in a row.

I'm going to say a double no-hitter since the two consecutive no-hitters has been done already.

From the depths of the web.

"In 1917, Fred Toney of the Cincinnati Reds and Hippo Vaughn of the Chicago Cubs pitched a hitless, scoreless tie after 9 innings–the only time in baseball history that neither team has had a hit in regulation"
