Yeah, I see that now. Shoulda been happy with six good ones, but anyway, hindsight.

This was a mixed bag. On the one hand, he was terrible in the first inning. Not missing any bats, poor control. Then he pitched very well minus some walks here or there. Then ran into some unfortunate luck in the 7th with a lucky pop up bunt that landed in the perfect place and a squibbler past Flaherty due to the drawn in infield. He pitched much better than his final line.

That said...the Royals have a lackluster offense and they're also very poor at taking pitches...yet Ubaldo threw over 100 in 6+ IP and still walked 4 batters. There's something to build off there...but a hodge podge of a game there for Ubaldo.

AGAINST THE ROYALS. They ain't exactly Murderer's Row. Trust your stuff, Ubaldo, and make em put it in play. And if his command is that bad that he is incapable of throwing strikes against a weak-hitting team, he needs to go on the DL or to AAA to figure it out.
