Does anyone else find it borderline crazy that Pearce has not played? Why not just carry another pitcher or Weeks (who I would select) or Q Berry who can pinch run-even another catcher would be more valuable-makes zero sense.

I thought Buck was supposed to do a better job this year of keeping his bench players fresh?

I find nothing Buck does borderline anything. Other than his Teagarden. Pre-intervention. Thanks Dan.

Why is Pearce here? He doesn't play. He is probably rusty. Let him go elsewhere, like the NL. You aren't doing him any favors at this point.

We could use D Adams, Weeks, another bullpen arm or even a 3rd catcher. Pearce is basically a Rule 5 guy at this point. It is piss poor roster management IMO.

Maybe they are just waiting to see what they have with Lough. If they want to send Lough down, they probably want to have Pearce, Young, and Cruz and rotate them between left and DH. I don't know, i'm just looking for a reason for why he is here.

This is a good post, I doubt it happens but Lough does have an option I believe.

He most certainly could have had a couple of ABs for a struggling Davis even though I know it's not Buck's m.o. to PH for vets. I'm sure he would have had a better AB vs Miller last night late in the game than Davis did.

I'd give Davis a day off against a tough lefty at this point. Luckily, we miss Buerhle so Pearce might not see daylight for quite sometime.

I think Pearce is just keeping the seat warm for Almanzar.

For sure, it's hard to justify having both guys on this roster for too much longer, but I just know Pearce will end up killing us in some game if he gets picked up.

And AJ10 thinks he tells good stories.....
