Again, I have a friend in the press, who is a big O's fan like me. He again talked to someone in the press in The Seattle area, and this is what was passed along.

His contact told him that a deal with another AL team,for a big pitcher is almost done. The Seattle contact speculated it would be Bedard & a possible thrown in player, for four Mariner prospcts headed by Jones. He didnt have any other Mariner names, but heard the name Tillman being linked.

My guy said he would call me tomorrow if he heard anything else.

Take it for what its worth, ME I take everything with a grain of salt these days, but it was something to throw out.

Well, I guess this is more hype to the fire of Bedard going to the Mariners. Honestly, combined with the comments from Bavasi, and the comments from Bedard, I think this deal seems very likely to happen.

Yep. Agreed. Nice to hear it from another source. I mean, all off-season it's felt like we're the NSA just listening to chatter and trying to decipher when it gets "hot" enough to think something's going to happen. This is just a bit more that leads (me? us?) to believe that something is imminent. The more varied the sources saying "aye" the better the odds.

All with a grain of salt, of course. We've had false positives before.

Agreed. People are in control of what they choose to read and believe. I appreciate the post. This speculation is interesting and just as speculative as most of what passes as media coverage. Keep posting and thanks.
